The Community Fund is the solidary support inside the kiezDAO community.
The community helps individual members in rare cases and necessary situations. It also incentivizes behavior that helps the DAO to sustain in the long run.
Impact
The Community Fund can assist in many occasions. For the kiezDAO we see it as an (1) insurance/reimbursement backup, (2) operations assistant (transaction/Gas costs), (3) an option to buy new tools through an existing governance structure from the members themselves and (4) a reward for workers who update the application plus add wanted features.
The community fund and the respective common good it posses helps to switch from an individualistic tool sharing platform to a holistic, community driven organisation owned by the people.
Many more ideas can be derived from a community owned fund and governance structure.
Governance through Quadratic Voting
To allow even more equality among the community. Quadratic Voting can be implemented to balance the power of the members who have a higher stake in the community fund due to their bigger tribute. QV also allows the strong preferences of the minority to weigh in.
