Import tags not working (or not working for new games?)

It seems all of the old tags from friends of galaxy import is retained (or retained withing gog cache) I can't get it to import tags for new games (or change/update tags from old imported tags that have later been changed in steam) using beta 1.2.1.0 (did not work in 1.2.0 either)

Steam is running in the background, several attempts have been made, both the import and sync integrations button have been tested.
