I am firmly committed to radical transparency. I believe that my fellow co-founders of the Aegir Cooperative share this conviction. Hence the existence of this very repository, our posting of meeting minutes to our (public) wiki, and so forth.

We are also firmly committed to the rights of our members and clients to privacy. There is, however, an obvious, natural (and healthy) tension between our desire to be transparent in our operations, and our duty to protect the privacy of our constituents.

In most circumstances, we should default to transparency, but determine some standards and/or guidelines by which to avoid disclosing private information.
