Ok. I guess there was a reason I wasn't getting any notifications. No advice on using the deb package? |

I am a ham radio operator, and a really unsophisticated Linux user. I tend to stick to package installers. I like the RTL-SDR and SDRPlay receivers, so when those communities are excited about something I want to try it.
I installed the jammy nightly build of SDR++, and tested with my RTL dongle. It worked. Good times. However, right after that, experienced some troubles with my data modes with my Icom transceiver and the audio settings for the two programs in my post's title.
The alsa_output selection showed as "unavailable" and it was apparent that no audio output was getting to the radio. I removed SDR++ and reinstalled the (library, I guess?) that gdebi said was removed during installation of SDR++ (libjack-jackd2-0) and reconfigured my settings and my ham apps work as normal again.
Just wondering if I can attempt to reinstall the program, or should I just run it on a different machine? If I can pull logs or provide information, just let me know how and I'll be glad to try.
