The Difference in Divergence

Divergence is all about being different, hence the name. When this pack was first invisioned it was the single goal in mind.

one of the design's in Divergence is to integrate the quest system while still holding true to Minecraft's sandbox feel. You are not forced to complete quests for your basic items like in most packs that are built around the quest system.

How ever to add the balance difficult curve HQM and progression was united to give players a real goal and to allow it to work in SMP without any special configurations.

When you start off in Divergence a great deal of the mods included are locked behind research quest. The concept is pretty simple once you get the hang of it. The tutorial section of the temple (Hall Of Legends) Will help guide you on your path.

The place where most get stuck

When you reach the 3rd quest called The Temple you will find a chair

A chair.

By interacting with this chair it will unlock the knowledge assigned to it. This paticular one would unlock Tinkers Basic's allowing you to craft and place the stincle table. So that you as the player can proceed to the next quest.

Along with a unique approuch to forced progression Divergence is also balanced to Beyond Reality Standards, There is a custom ore system in place and many more features that will be covered in this guide.
