Is there any difference in the code execution results between using rule+or and using categories?

What is the difference between the following two ways of writing in actual implementation?

I don't fully remember the details of the Token Categories, But I suspect the output structure (CST) would be different.

Thanks. I will assume they are exactly equal and use them that way. When I run into a problem I will know the difference.
