[SUGGESTION] Add ability to add games from itch.io, indiegala #144
Comments
itch.io is definitely in the cards. I have never heard of indiegala before. It just looks like a Steam key reseller? BTW, if Epic Games do not work, please make sure Proton 5.13 and the steam runtime is installed and validated. |
itch.io is going to be a bit of a challenge, for one, it is difficult to tell which files to download and there is no standard to how game files are organized once installed. We will also need to use butler: http://docs.itch.ovh/butlerd/master/#/ |
Thanks for your continued work on this. I mentioned indiegala because they do offer some games directly, but at the moment I think it may just be their free offerings (so probably low priority). Example: https://freebies.indiegala.com/ I can see itch.io being a challenge; there is no consistency as to if games can be "claimed" on an account or just downloaded. EDIT: Thanks for the suggestion on Epic Games. I checked and validated all of those; no change. |
Indie gala will likely never happen, so closing in favor of #241 |
I'm impressed with the ability to add games from GOG and Epic (the latter doesn't work for me, however). I'm making the suggestion to have Steam-Buddy be able to add games from itch.io and/or indiegala in a similar manner it can add games from Epic, GOG, or flathub.
