Add GM Guide "Brief" #103
Comments
I propose renaming the GM Brief and Player Guide Brief to be rendered on site as:
We can rename them more officially (and open to suggestions on naming convention) down the road, but "Brief" vs. "Full" is non-intuitive to newcomers. Our "Brief" Player Guide is also already using the term "Quick Start Guide" as the first H2 on the page. If we mark them as Quick Start it identifies two things:
Quick Start for Players should be very tactical of what they need to do in play, what major rules and terms are, and boiled down instructions of things that have more detail in the PGF (and can be directly linked there as well). Quick Start for GMs should cover the following:

On doc renaming - I'd prefer docs get named roughly as MajorTopic_MinorTopic.md, but doc titles for the website are easy to change here |
Perfect, I think keeping internal doc naming convention/structure works just fine it'll be about how we frame the documents as part of site nav that I think the above proposal comes into play. For GM Brief and Player Brief I would propose we render/order the side-nav as following: Mechanics

Add a GM Guide "Brief" for Experienced GM's and Quick-Reference Section
Once GM Guide v1 PR is folded in, let's take the key elements of it and create a shortened "Brief" (similar to the Player Guide) that experienced GM's can handle as an easy reference and for a quick 'here's what's different in DofA and how you can handle mechanics" with a section almost like a glossary or quick reference for unique terms and links to the GM Guide Full for ease of reference and access for experienced GMs.
This gives us the ability to keep the GM Guide Full as an all-encompassing doc designed for new and experienced GMs alike but approaching it from a 'new-GM first' design perspective.
