Mystic Recovery - additional costs #76

As a separate Burn Mechanic I would propose that Mystic Recovery allows you to recover 1 FP by burning 4 cards as a Minor Action, and at higher levels you can get 2 FP by burning 6 cards. This allows for more FP flexibility while limiting them to ~10-15 FP per Deck. If we go this route, we would want to consider the balance across Rest Cards, Fate Cards, Stamina, and FP more generally as this creates a sense of even exchange that we'll want to make sure is in balance. 1 Rest Card = 1-2 FP |

Also something to keep in mind, if we go with some of those first draft necromancer powers later on, every ability to get cards into the discard pile goes from being a cost, to a benefit. While I think it is worth it to incorporate the discard pile as a mechanic rather than a dump site, it does have the ability to bust the meta of the game. That said, mystic recovery as it stands is definitely broken, I was O.P. in that playtest I had it. |
Thanks @D-D-2! Good to know it was something that felt OP when it was on the character sheet. I think there's opportunities for us to allow for PP recovery between rests for Casters as a Passive or even with Magic Items, but as it stands we can remove the existing Power from the list. |
