I am a little concerned over the quality of the scripts in general. If we want this to be the official Project Awesome repository then I think we need to set our self to a higher standard. I have several ideas to accomplish this and maintain a high quality main branch.

  1. Require a well formatted and standardized readme.txt for every script
  2. Require a mission example that uses the script properly that can operate as a demo
  3. Only allow scripts that contributors write or are using as a part of a bigger script.
  4. Create pull requests every time we want to migrate something to the main branch and wait for someone to review and approve the code.

  1. Agree
  2. While I see that it could be useful, I think that the Readme should cover what/how to do that.
  3. What? Why? If it's a script that does something neat then it should be here. Regardless of what they do, if it's a script (the only limitation is that it has to have been used in a TvT/Coop) then it should be here.
  4. Not sure about this one to decide whether to go either way.

As I've stated before, I am not a good scripter. It is tertiary amongst the things I do involving Arma, primary being mission making and secondary being work on tweaking mods.

This is not the official PA Script github, whilst I certainly do not mind it being endorsed, this is not in any way officialstarted as a resource for my own work, and scripts hosted here are here of their own volition. I comment and instruct on my scripts as much as I feel I need to.

If you feel like going all out on your scripts, then please, do so. I add to this git as and when I feel is necessary. If either of you, or anyone else using this as a resource feels the quality isn't up to standard, then please feel free to bring your own work up to that standard, I do not have the time unfortunately to do so, like I said, in the long list of things I do in a week this github is a minor thing on my timeline.

Mbetts, the reason we shouldn't host other people's scripts if because it implies we made it, and they aren't ours to host. If you want we can create a txt Doc listing links to external scripts. Doing that also covers any potential updates
