Since latest Atom update Atom crashes, when I open a project from my recent projects.
I disabled all other packages. It seems to be caused by this one.

OS : elementary OS 0.4.1 Loki based on Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS
Atom : 1.19.0
Electron: 1.6.9
Chrome : 56.0.2924.87
Node : 7.4.0

I did't found any log files I can provide (This is unfortunately not very helpful).

Please help me to find what causes Atom to crash.

Sorry I won't have time to dedicate to this, I guess the best to find the issue is to try to remove parts of the code and see from where it's coming.

Same happens to me. I have found a workaround: after the start first open the settings and then switch back to the open-project tab and open the desired project. This works for me.

Maybe this also can help in finding the error source.

However, it would be great to have the right functionality back soon.

It seems to be caused by this line.
I comment out this line, which seems to fix it.

@GuilhemN
Is it safe to remove that?
In which case was it necessary to close Atom?

Removing the line provided by @bbuhler seems to fix this problem on Mac OS for me too. Anyway it seems to be a bit strange to close Atom when a project is opened. Can @GuilhemN tell why it's needed?

Same here. Is there some package maintained with similar function?

If anyone else has this problem also,
please do not post "me too"
just thumbs up the first poster.

We can all subscribe to be notified if someone fixes it. Don't spam everyone who is subscribed, thank you.
