I am currently using Rhino 8.8.

It is installed on a Windows 10 computer built in 2016 using Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6800K CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz with 32Gb RAM.

I have installed Eddy3D 0.4.8.0 in Grasshopper.

I also have BluCFD 2020 installed.

I have previously worked with a PhD student who has used Butterfly. Her thesis https://bit.ly/3C5CLQS examined the impact of microclimate on tall building energy use and included a section on calibration of the OpenFoam calculations against the Japanese Institute of Architecture wind tunnel test validation data. The interface of Butterfly has not been worked on in 7-8 years. It also required an enormous amount of Li Jing's time developing the meshing and calculation framework. Eddy3D promises to be far better with its templates.

What I have discovered a couple of months ago is that the templates for Wind in City Streets and Wind Pressures on Facades that I wish to exploit throw errors when I try to run them.

When I try the PressureOnBuildingFacade template it throws the following sequence of pop up windows:

Template: 5

Grasshopper I/O "I/O generated 1 message")

Grasshopper Event Log: "Name cannot begin with '<' character, hexadecimal value 0x3C Line 52, position 2

Failed to add Template

AND THEN the OutdoorComfort_Street_Canyon
Requires a whole bunch of Climate Studio Tools and the links no longer find these required Solemma files on Food4Rhino

I'd love to see how this tool might also make use of the LadyBug Tools (LBT) suite. My reason for this is that we moved to LBT in COVID year, when we had to focus on students working from home on their personal computers. We have had students doing building performance simulation exercises on Windows and Apple Operating Systems since then, and I am not very interested in installing yet another interface to Radaicne and EnergyPlus.

NOTE:
The 3 Simple Wind Analysis Template took several hours (perhaps 1 to create the mesh 3-4 to simulate) but it ran:

It required this component to be re-loaded from the version of the software I had installed:
