Keyword highlighting #632
Comments
Just find the professional words |
Is there currently any way to highlight specific keywords using custom css or config file ? |
I would really love such a feature my self. It's one thing I miss from MobaXterm. |
I too, miss this feature from MobaXterm. |
Would love to have this feature, this is the only reason why I still have to use Mobaxterm instead of tabby, analyzing logs is so much easier with syntax highlight! 😥 |
I don't imagine anyone is working on this. I've been poking around in the program files. in c:/USER/AppData/Local/Programs/Tabby/Resources/buildin-plugins/tabby-ssh/node-modules |
Come on duck, I like this too! We look forward to good news. |
Not sure why this idea keeps getting shut down. It would be a prominent feature I think. |
@DanRoses where is it getting shut down? |
@Eugeny lack of a better word the topic falls through the cracks. If the rest of us in this thread tried together we might could find a solution in the scripts mentioned above. But it gets forgotten. |
It's currently blocked on xtermjs/xterm.js#1852 as there's no way to add custom highlighting to xterm.js short of hacking the session output to colorize it manually. I'm happy to support it in Tabby once it lands, but my own expertise isn't enough to work on that part of xterm.js. |
This would be the last thing left to make this a SecureCRT alternative that's FOSS which is the first time I've ever seen a SecureCRT competitor. How can we get this added? |
@ghzgod Agreed, I'd be willing to pay for it honestly. |
Hi, |
it may be implemented by themes or a Plugin-in? |
I need this feature,waiting for it! |
+1 for this feature. I've moved from MobaXTerm to Tabby and this is the only feature that I can't find a replacement for. |
Can we hack the xterm.js now? I see that issue has been closed as resolved. |
There is a javascript https://github.com/highlightjs/highlight.js project. Maybe there is a chance to adapt it as a plugin in elecrton-based application?
|
have found any method yet? |
Thank you for creating such an amazing replacement for MobaXterm. This feature will upgrade it to the next level. Any progress on this? |
Same here. Lacking functionality that avoids me moving away from Moba. |
Would be very nice, if someone could implement this feature! |
It seems ChromaTerm support custom syntax highlighting and easy for use!(Thanks for suggestions from #5515.)
Since ChromaTerm only support this feature by connecting ssh from local path. I still look forward for this feature in tabby! |
@isanmu , would you be able to direct me in how to do this? have you gone further than i've managed to get in the below post? i've tried w/ mixed results but don't think i'm doing it the correct way (see my post here)
|
@0n11san , I just try |
Still no solutions? |
I need this feature,waiting for it! |
I need this feature too, waiting for it! |
The only thing that is forcing me to use moba is syntax highlights not being supported by tabby :( can someone please articulate the problem because of which Tabby is not able to do syntax highlighting ? |
+1 |
+1, like windterm has this feature. |

I would love to see this feature implemented too.
|
This feature already implemented by plugin. Y'all could install it with plugin manager. It is not perfect, but this is what we have been waiting for. |
Sorry 4 asking, but whats the name of the plugin? |
This is good thanks for replying :) really appreciate the time... Say if I ssh into some vm and open some log from tabby its not highlighting the errors like moba does! |
@Harshad18 , that's not true, It highlights everything through ssh also. You'd better check your regexp in
|
Hi, |
@Eugeny
The Schema is fantasy. But they have the same keywords to be colorful. Can you have something like dictionary to choose then have different keywords with different color pattern. for example, Connected as green, Stop as red, etc.
Thanks.
