Kingdoms

This game mode will have way more going on besides the combat system itself, as it will have a real world economy, allow constructing your city by making units unit dwellings and will allow tilting the matches by using stock and perk cards. First you start up with a 3x3 land, where you'll choose the spot where to build the Chapel (the dwelling for your summoner, the Dark Priest). Eventually you'll have more summoner type options (maybe even realm specialized ones) and you'll also pick your realm, but currently the first set of units is not yet implemented. The Chapel will start generating Plasma, which is the vital resource for being able to combat, as it allows you to materialize units and also protects your summoner from harm, being able to last longer in battle. The plasma can also be used to mine the materials required to build other structures, like unit dwellings, which will generate specific units every certain amount of time which you'll have to purchase using plasma. By increasing your stock for that specific unit in combat, it allows it to upgrade abilities faster or even start with them already upgraded if you have a big unit stack for that specific creature compared to your opponent. In case you materialize a creature that you don't own and your opponent has plenty, it will be harder or even impossible to upgrade its abilities, a small handicap that may or may not make any difference, so it's up to you to decide which units to go for during combat and what are the stakes for doing so, but you have the freedom to block your opponent on purpose, for that cost. Units can also be obtained by trading, defeating enemies (prisoners of war or recruits) and even by looting enemy cities. The chapel will allow you to make Perk cards, by crafting them using acquired unit drops from combat. Perk cards can be placed inside structures in order to affect them, so a perk card on chapel could affect the Dark Priest during combat by providing certain bonus to him or could protect the building itself from looting.

There might be a special structure that you'll be able to build eventually, a totem (will allow purchasing Perks via plasma) or guardian (will protect your city, allowing an AI to fight off attackers for you; you could enhance him in various ways, allowing for better strategies and so on).
