Can you guys Bump the version to ubuntu 16.04 with SSL enabled by default and no LVM so the disk can be easily expanded with resize2fs? Also the docs recommend not using the OVA's for production, can we make these good enough so we can drop that recommendation?

Removing LVM: I have not used LVM much personally. Just googling around, it looks like you can still resize the disk with LVM. It's just more commands. How often are you resizing the disk?
This is multiple issues in one ticket, so it's hard to address them all. I think it might be a good idea to open new tickets for each of these requests.
