Hello,

First, incredible model and great blog post/paper.

I’d like to try the API but I’m just curious what the data terms are when using it?

If I send an image to the API, is that image stored and used for future models?

Or does it only get used for inference?

Thank you

Hi @mrdbourke , sorry for the late reply! Thank you for your kind words—we're thrilled to hear that you found our model and blog post helpful!

Regarding your questions about data usage:

Inference Only: Any images you upload to the API are used solely for inference. We do not store these images permanently, nor do we incorporate them into future model training.

Data Handling and Storage: We adhere to industry-standard practices for data handling and storage to ensure your data remains secure.

Upcoming Data Terms: We're currently working with our legal team to finalize a formal set of data terms. This will provide detailed information about how we manage and protect user data.

We appreciate your interest and patience. If you have any more questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to ask!
