from commandline, firing up the tool shows:
java[87679] : The function ‘CGContextErase’ is obsolete and will be removed in an upcoming update. Unfortunately, this application, or a library it uses, is using this obsolete function, and is thereby contributing to an overall degradation of system performance.
then
open a configuration.
select a table, say studySample.xml
add a field characteristics[], set it to be of type 'Ontology Term'
hit 'configure ontologies' and select one
Save the configuration
close the configuration
Open the configuration just saved
select the table when the field has been added
select the field which has been added.
it 'could' (not systematic behavior) show nothing.
open the xml document corresponding to the table -> in my case, the field is present with the selected ontology present and normally saved.
keeping testing: adding more 'characteristics' fields of type ontology.
saving seems to only keep the ontology selection of the newly added field, discarded the others.
(not consistent behavior however)
(side note: after saving many times without any difficulty, suddenly, the tool complained about the Protocol REF in the studySample not having a protocol-type set.)
