Values for MIME type context rules are wider than the screen #43
Comments
Note: this is a copy of a comment from IgnorantGuru. This isn't bug - it's just a long line. You can read all of it once you select it. I would prefer the drop-down list to only be as wide as the entry, but for some reason gtk uses the full screen width. I may take another look to see if this can be adjusted. |
Note: this is a copy of a comment from IgnorantGuru. As long as you can see the left side, that shouldn't be a problem. I took another look at this but can find no way to limit the width without changing the contents. I may leave it as is or use another method to affect it. |
I wonder if the height-for-width layout system may be a solution. See FileFilter combo becames too wide. |
Added gtk_combo_box_set_popup_fixed_width in ddcbac0 for GTK3 but it seems to have no effect. |
Note: this is a copy of the ticket 88036 on the SourceForge tracker.
When I open the Context Rules dialog of a custom command, the combo box listing all possibles values for MIME type is wider than the screen (1280px). See the attached screenshot.
