I would like it if there was an option to make the tabs be on bottom as they were with old pcmanfm. Is there a way to do that currently or are they permanently stuck at the top?

Currently they are fixed at the top. I'll consider this - thanks.

I second this. Maybe it can be made to be fully customisable ie top, bottom and even on the right side.
