What are you trying to do, and what do you expect to happen?
I was retexturing a mod that supports resourcepacks, have not changed version of mod or minecraft. Expected to export image like normal and retexture the wings of the mod.
What happens instead?
The new beta update invalidates PNG files. Every file I used became corrupted and improperly saved no matter if i started from scratch or not. I tested it with old files and it corrupted them as well. The second I reverted back to 4.11.2 they were no longer corrupting upon save. I was a little hesitant to call this a Blockbench issue until I tested the old files that I plugged in the beta in the safe release and they saved perfectly fine like before the update.
