Application

Outline Client

Describe the bug

The Outline iOS client app is currently unavailable for download from the Apple App Store in mainland China. This creates accessibility problems for users in the region who wish to use the Outline client legitimately.

Impact:

  • Users in mainland China cannot download or update the iOS client
  • Existing users may face issues with app updates
  • Reduces accessibility for a significant user base

Possible suggestions:

  1. Consider submitting a revised version that complies with local App Store policies
  2. Provide alternative distribution methods if possible
  3. Document any workarounds for affected users in the meantime

Additional context:
This limitation affects users who have legitimate needs for secure networking tools. Having access to the client app is important for users who rely on Outline for their work or studies.

Steps to reproduce

Open mainland China App Store, and you can't find or install it.
