I read the about page. I think there is great value in allowing users to delete their OWN comments and have those comments not be archived. You said that you're not looking to change the code, but some possible work arounds?

If a user wants to delete their content and not have it archived, could they edit the comment/post and replace all the text with gibberish, then delete the post (update: not possible)? What about showing the deleted post but not showing the relevant username (update: not possible)? So far self posts seem to be immune from removeddit noticing what was user edited, which seems good for user privacy

You might want to add to the Q/A section:

-Which subs does removeddit/pushshift.io not monitor? What are the requirements for it to monitor a sub? (update: maybe nsfw subs? It seems to have no lower limit for what subs they monitor)

  • "Today both sites live side by side and strive for the same goal." What goal does removeddit strive for?

Update: i tried editing a comment before deleting it and removedit still shows the original comment

Update 2: It has problems on nsfw subs, but it can be made to work on them by using ceddit+removeddit. It allows some pretty crazy stuff like seeing copyright content that moderators removed, seeing doxx content (like a phone number, ex users1 meant to give a disposable number but put in their mobile then edited it after?)

update 3: can undelete even self posts that have been completely deleted (by OP). It seems that if there is a comment tree, (lets say a, b, c are talking) that if b deletes their comment, it hides c from even removeddit. However reddit.com allows c to be viewed. If the author edits a comment, removeddit displays the original comment, but it is unknown what it displays if a comment is edited multiple times.
