A couple more suggestions, that I've implemented for myself.

• Option to set how many download threads run simultaneously (-threads). I found that GoG limits my download speed to 8MB/s and I like to run only 2 threads as I like to get less files completed sooner rather than having more in-progress files.
• Option to limit how many games download in one run (-maxgames). I have 400+ games and I don't want my NAS running 24/7 downloading, so I set a task that runs overnight that gets only 20 titles max per run.
• Skip saving the !info/!serial files for titles that won't be downloaded, or are not part of the filter. I keep separate folders for Win/Mac titles, but only one copy of the manifest and found that empty folders with the !info file were being created when downloading Mac versions for titles that had no Mac versions.
