Valve position is not ideal for the cailbration/scenario #899

I haven't got an answer to this but I have the same problem. I was trying to overcome it by setting the eco mode to 30 degrees and setting the target temporarily to 30 when the TRV demands heat. I was then trying to detect when the room temperature was greater than the original target temperature and then restore the saved target temperature. The problem I have is that I do not know how to get to the saved target temperature to compare it with the room temperature. I thought that the trv temperature was the original target but it increases to 30 when I switch to eco mode. Does anyone know how to retrieve the saved target temperature? |

I think this problem is somewhat covered in #906 - I tested the same and shared my findings as a reply in #884 All in all, looks like if you change the settings on the valve itself as described in #906 the first part of the problem you described gets somewhat resolved. I am also suffering with overheating and to that I have not found a solution yet. It's interesting to see how the valve position changes in tandem with the temperature. For me sometimes it just doesn't make sense (set temp is below room temp, yet the valve opens up to 100%) |

I have Tyuya TS0601 valves. Struggling to find a good setup to get the integration to work.
I have external temp sensors working, they read that the room is cold but do not reliably force heat to come through.
Right now The room is more than 1.5'c below target but the valve has only opened 20%. Its cold - should be open 100% I would think?
The setup is currently on OFFSET calibration and AI mode.

Auto/Heat Swap is enabled (must be on these valves). All others unchecked.

I also get overheating at the other end too.
What I really want is for the valves to open fully when there is demand and then close once it is reached. Is there a better setting?
