Fork the project to test something - use heat instead of auto

I have created a fork to test something. I only want to alter it so my TS0601_thermostat valves use heat instead of auto.

So its cold and demand of heat = set to heat (instead of auto)
Its hot stop demand of heat = set to off

How would I go about it?

What I need is to send a signal o valve to move from Heat to Off as temperature is reached. Back to Heat when it is cool and demands more heat.

My TRV runs in AUTO mode instead so I have to enable the Auto/Heat switch.

Otherwise In Heat mode they just open permanently, when the room is warm enough the valve stays in Heat mode. Warming up more and more.

Yes then use the option "if auto means heat for your TRV"

@wtom I have thatenabled and so the TRV now sets its valve as various open/close amounts, based on its own intelligence. I really want it to be either on or off.

Cycling between Heat or Off woudl do that. So I was looking to make the 'heat satisfied' call be to turn the valve off. Then the 'heat demand' to call for the valve to be in Heat mode (100% open/on).

So When the heat symbol comes on the valve is in HEAT, when its off it is OFF

This will mess up everything i think, but you can try. You will need some stuff.

• disable the trv mode change
• disable the target temperature calculation where you disable that, add a new logic to set it to heat or off
• try if it works already, if not, change more :)
