Whoa there, don't panic.
Development is going good, lots of cool features are being introduced, have you ever tried out the nightly ?
Obviously people might think LMMS is dead because they aren't in the Discord and that's where most discussions are being done, but the devs are trying to make the project goals more visible outside of it.
LMMS is far from dead, I'm telling you.
