What is this fuction exactly?

Hi, can someone explain where this fuction is usefull for? Is it for mixer section and FX?
And it has a bug that it shows a deleted channel (sample track in this example)
Also for one channel I can assign it a number, but it does not show the number. 0 stays visual. Other channel do change.

That is for assigning mixer channels, yes. You can assign the instrument to a new or existing channel.

As for it showing a deleted channel, that is puzzling. Note that if you delete a track, it doesn't automatically delete the mixer channel it was associated with. Perhaps you could send a screenshot of your mixer channels?

Also, unless I am misunderstanding you, I believe that it is intentional that the current mixer channel assigned to that instrument is not shown in the list, since it's already on that channel.

Thank you for the quick reply!. And indeed what you said. If you assign a track to new mixer channel and then remove the track, it stays visual in the mixer and also when you rightclick on a track to assign it to a mix channel. See here

Hmm, that mixer track 1 is supposed to be named Sample track... I have run into this bug, where the mixer names don't update automatically. I think if you double-click on the mixer channel the name should update, but I should probably make a bugfix for that.
