how difficult would it be to make this work with Simpleproxychat instead of DiscordSRV. they both achieve the same goal getting chat messages on discord and discord messages in chat. i would be interested in adapting this addon to make it work with simpleproxychat but i don't have enough experience with java to do that on my own.

It would take a lot of rewriting to switch to another Discord plugin. Another thing is that DiscordSRV's API is exceptionally expansive compared to other Discord plugins (Even EssentialsXDiscord the last time I checked), this makes the many features in ICD possible. So it is unlikely, in the near future, I will make such drastic changes to ICD.
