A couple of thoughts on improving Recurring Transactions. Right now I believe they're set to autocommit on the recurring date set. But the point of having this feature is to budget / plan ahead / forecast. Similar programs allow you to manually enter the transactions ahead of time, one by one, via a monthly bill view. We could do that, or alternatively, we could "ghost" (like shade or something) them in at the bottom of the account transaction view, until the recurring date hits, at which time they autocommit. If we do the ghosting, we would need to track another account balance (one for actual today, one for estimated after bills).
