Hello. Please check these URLs:

• https://i.imgur.com/p0GUsF8.png - image links redirect to Imgur webpages. You can fix this by setting the referrer to https://imgur.com/.
• https://duckduckgo.com/?q=yakuza&iax=images&ia=images - "Sorry, no results here."
• https://instagram.com/mozilla - missing images.
• https://www.threads.net/@firefox - missing images.
• https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2589004224020248 - broken design. Test the download button too.
• https://videosampletogglereferrer.blogspot.com/2024/12/blog-post.html - videos uploaded directly to Blogger blogs don't work. Not all of them use blogpost.com subdomains; some have custom domains.
• https://www.apple.com/tv-pr/originals/ - missing icons from a special font (see the filter menus at the top).
• https://new.safernet.org.br/denuncie - this website is used for reporting crimes on the Internet. The list of topics isn't loaded when the extension is on.

It is close to 100% impossible to fix all the broken websites out there.

If you ask me, the "Referer" header should just be removed from the standards altogether. But this will never happen.

I checked Instagram and Threads and at least those two are duplicates of #14
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1723283 is still unfixed and more or less ignored by Mozilla. Probably I have to create a very simple test case to make it easier for Mozilla to reproduce.

The issue here is that using the Firefox built-in "referrer switch" not only disables the Referrer but also breaks some CSP checks.
