I have a modpack containing Tectonic, Biomes O' Plenty, C2ME (see this modpack), Biome Replacer and Block Swap, and Biome Replacer is only used to remove the Deep Dark, while Block Swap is only for replacing vanilla ores with a denser modded version of them. On one my mod test worlds where I enabled Lost Cities generation (pre-set rarecities), and often around the boundaries of the cities, there would be a large amount of floating blocks creating massive gaps in the ground.

In other test worlds, one under default preset and the other rarecities, chunks would simply not render.

1.20.1, FML 47.3.0.

Sorry for the late response, but it's something to do with C2ME (at least with the TOML file configured). I might have found a partial workaround by changing the TOML config of C2ME and chunks will now generate, but from time to time it will send an error message.

My C2ME TOML settings

It should be noted that by this point I no longer have Tectonic in the modpack, but I don't think Tectonic (or Lithosphere, as I'm now using it) would cause an issue. The issue is definitely from incompatibility with C2ME, though chunks are capable of loading now after I changed the TOML. Nonetheless the issue with floating blocks similar to the one pictured above occur from time to time.
