Is it correct to assume this is continuation of the repo found at https://github.com/DebVortex/python-ar-markers (as mentioned in the readme)?

I'm wondering as to what was the decision behind creating an entirely new repository rather than forking that one and continuing the work from there? The original commit log is lost in this repo due to that, which at leat confused me a little if this was re-implementation or continuation.
