i think it would be comfortable to have key combinations like menu+something to 
apply special key modifiers to next key. for instance menu+c for control 
modifier: menu+c a => ctrl-a. even more if menu-a is a alt modifier: menu+c 
menu+a a => ctrl-alt-a. i do not think menu+c and menu+a are good for regular 
usage, it is only only example. i think the best is to make it customizable.
