Describe the bug
Attempting to run remap_land with --print_memory flag results in the following error message on Mac OS:
Error from pe 0: tool_util.c: Can not open ascii file /proc/self/status
The directory structure pointed to on Mac OS does not exist by default, and creating it involves loosening the read-only permissions of this area in Mac OS- not a desirable approach!
To Reproduce
Compile code in build directory as usual, then run code with and without the --print_memory flag
The first execution fails, while the second runs to completion successfully.
Expected behavior
Similar to behavior without the print_memory flag, except actually writing the relevant output to a text file in an area with appropriate permissions under MacOS
System Environment
Describe the system environment, include:
OS: MacOS 12.5 (Intel)
netCDF Version: 4.9.0
