The most important thing for new users is that we (I at least) have no idea about the organization of the objects returned by the io sources. All your examples are on artificial data so it will make things very clear with real examples and real neo objects like blocks, segments, units, analogsignals etc....
I am sorry but it's very hard for me to navigate through neo objects and manipulate them properly.

Thanks for the feedback @pplenck! I agree, it would be great if new users had more guidance from the documentation on how to get started using ephyviewer+Neo, assuming they don't already have a mastery of Neo's inner workings.
