  • Add 2 more pivot plates on the outside of the pivot on each side.
  • Add 2 4" tube cubes inside pivot to keep pivot plates from bending in.
  • Redo spacers to not have gaps under pivot plates.
  • Grind down pivot plates to redo spaces between them.
  • Add bolt mechanism to shaft to pinch everything tightly.

If this all works well, update 3d model, bom, and assembly instructions accordingly.

I put it in the assembly instructions- http://opensourceecology.dozuki.com/Guide/Ironworker+Frame/83/1

Still need to update the 3d model and BOM.

There are two 3d models floating around: http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/File:IronworkerI.skp, and http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/File:IronworkerBOM.skp which has the design and bill of materials. I don't know if they have the same model or not. If one is obviously more up to date, use that one, otherwise use the one without the BOM.

Download it, make the changes, and upload the result here or to a new file name on the wiki (you can log in with a google account using the openid login link in the top right).

As much as possible, you should copy and paste pieces from the "warehouse" of standard parts. We have a model with all of them- http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/Warehouse

You can see lots of detail of how it's put together at:

BOM is generated from instructions now so we just need to update 3d model.
