[Feature Request 1.16.5] Pick-block upgrade / Scrollable inventory link

For builders, picking blocks become a hassle when there are too many blocks added my many mods, I find myself in need to grab blocks out of the backpack all the time. The refill upgrade helps but its a bit janky with (mouse) held items, so when wanting to move a stack of stone in my inventory without shift-clicking it i get another stack, same with all other blocks i'd like to have refilled.

My suggestion would be an upgrade that takes a stack of the picked block (middle-mouse button by default) given there is not a stack already in the players inventory.
This upgrade could possibly be paired with refill to refill slots or have an advanced version, or be an advanced version of the refill upgrade.
An ability to 'stow' the item would also be a neat feature for this upgrade, sneak+pick-block for instance, to put the held block back into the backpack

Another alternative would be an ability to link a hotbar slot to a backpack, allowing for sneak-scrolling to select the respective inventory slot in the backpack. (If you've seen Dank storage they got something like this)
