I have two plex servers running in my LAN. My HTPC is running the openpht application and both serves shows up in the main menu.
I've tried pointing openpht directly to one severs IP address, also tried tried disabling network discovery service on the server side , yet I keep seeing both servers in openpht.
Can we a feature to take care of this?

I suppose it would be possible to program a Plex client to accept connection just for a single configured server, but the proper way to handle this is to modify a setting in the Plex server configuration, so that each server accepts connection only with clients that have authenticated their login for that server. (Naturally this assumes that each server is running under a separate Plex account, as intended by Plex Inc.)

The relevant setting is found in the "Plex/Web client/manager" submenu 'Server > Network > List of networks that are allowed without auth', which requires that you've clicked the "Show Advanced" button in order to make that entry visible (with some others).

The default setting string makes all clients in the same LAN as PMS be accepted without auth, but by changing the string to "127.0.0.1/255.255.255.255" you ensure that only clients running on the same PC as PMS will be accepted without auth. (Useful for normal server administration.)

With that setting all Plex clients on other systems, such as your HTPC, will have to sign in to the server they are to use. (Normally needed to do manually just once per client, as long as it stays on the same server, since that sign-in token is memorized for future sessions.)

I presume that what the OP is wanting is what is available in the majority of the new official Plex clients, i.e. the ability to select the PMS server from a 'drop down' list and only show libraries for that server.

Yeh a drop down selection like in the plex media player will work.

Or the ability to hide a selected server.

Hello,

Is there any update on this. Any plans on introducing this enahancment of being able to see libraries from only a selected plex server?

Just installed RasPlex and this was the very first thing I looked for. This feature would be most welcome.

Big +1 on this.
Personally I would prefer a sort of drop-down selection rather than the option to hide a server...

Add my +1. I am toying with Plex Cloud, partly as a backup, and would rather not have duplicate libraries showing up in the main list. If I could direct my system to only show one server at a time this would solve the issue.

Pretty dismayed about not being able to do this. Love the client but its a huge deal breaker for me.
Back to PKC for now, but will monitor the openPHT thread on Plex hoping to see this implemented.
Right now there's just far too much real estate being used with libraries I don't need to see.

+1. The application is annoying as I run sever servers for kid balancing and do not need to see all of them.
