spotify-tui has been disabled in Homebrew #1136
Comments
This is because it has been abandoned, Use https://github.com/aome510/spotify-player. |
It's a real shame, I tried |
Despite the fact spotlight-player has infinitely more control over playlists and tracks, you prefer the one with a UI you can navigate with a mouse.. |
Wow, I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes. I mean, there are people who love things I don't love and it's also going to be the other way around. I am very attached to the way I navigate my software, I like that spotify-tui tried to emulate vim modes and it's very close to the way I use my dev machine. Spotify-player is quite the opposite, its default keybindings are quite unnatural to me. As for the mouse bit, I wouldn't know. I rarely use a mouse unless browsing or gaming. |
any chance to get this back to live? |
I have little experience taking over dead projects like these, but I know it's quite difficult if you can't reach the author. |
I personally have tried via Twitter and E-mail ages, alongside pinging the author. It only lead to a false hope created by them in the form of a issue. |
https://github.com/spotify-tui/spotify-tui — this fork works fine at the moment. |
This the eroor that I get when running the following command : "brew install spotify-tui"
