Currently there exist some compatibility issues regarding some files using on windows. As a workaround I suggest to change the enconding of the xdoc projects on windows to ISO8859-1, as this is statically set in the output eclipse help files.

Are you referring to xpand templates? I'm using Linux and experience problems if I do not change the encoding in the generator project. I had also prepared a patch, but I don't see where I can attach it...

Please fork Xdoc on github and send me a pull request. I will then check out what you did and apply the patch. Thanks for that.
