The total initial download size for the identity service login/signup page is ~600kb. This is composed mainly of the SAEON-NRF logo which is ~200kb, and 3rd party CSS and JS totalling ~350kb.

There are reports from NCCIS users of the login page taking 30+ seconds to load on slow internet connections.

Thank you - to test the connection speed I was throttling to 'slow 3g' using Chrome Dev tools. I suspect that this is still a faster connection than in many places in SA
