Using IaD to setup new landscapes in a green field is relatively easy. Importing existing landscapes over is a whole different story. Crossplane generally supports an imports on a per resource basis. Since that import requires knowledge of specific IDs this process can be very cumbersome in bigger landscapes.
It would be great to have some kind of a autodiscovery process, that allows to batchimport a whole landscape that can be observed with a given set of credentials.
There are a lot of different approaches possible here and we first need to evaluate those before we can derive a concrete task out of that.
