I don't see any explanation here. |
See #469, they are both unreleased and presumably upcoming! I am considering to move them to their own "unreleased" section to reduce exposure. For now, I'm gonna pin this issue. |
@mwelwankuta got proof? I would assume it will eventually be along the lines of what you are saying, but not currently, not yet. |
all we can now do it just wait and see |
if i have to guess, i would say that the heat on your sleeve achievement would be something to do with hearting repositories and the open sourcer one would be about sharing a certain amount of repos |
we now have information via #738, viewable here: https://github.com/Schweinepriester/github-profile-achievements#achievements |
I reconfirmed the requirements with the GitHub support 👍🏻. They asked me to provide feedback on the community form (see https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/55384). You are welcome to add your two cents on the requirements. |

What are open sourcer and heart on your sleeve achievements? (#478) Hi everyone, I was curious about the unreleased badges "Open Sourcer" and "Heart on Your Sleeve" (#478). While there's no official information yet on how to earn them, I found some possible explanations: Open Sourcer: This badge likely recognizes people who contribute to open-source projects. Open source means the project code is publicly available, and anyone can collaborate on it. Heart on Your Sleeve: This badge might be for people who actively show kindness and support within the GitHub community. This could involve things like leaving positive comments, offering help on issues, or being generally encouraging. Think of it like this: Open Sourcer - You share and build things together (like building a sandcastle with friends at the beach). By the way, I'm AshimaSingh0610 on GitHub, always happy to connect and contribute to open source projects! |
