Share list actions within detail view

I am wondering if it makes sense to add this on the side of the detail view for patients and users (we would need to add this type of side bar UI there), something like this (very high-level mockup):

This could give a user a nice way to manage a specific users information (e.g. confirm elements such as the DOB) and then perform these actions without going back to the list. What do you think about this idea? Might be worth a few additional changes to have these operations in both the list and the individual patient overview to make it discoverable & actionable right on the patient overview?
