Could the authors of this plugin clarify the actual status of the project?

There haven't been any update or answers to issues for months, including for important issues such as #14 which is critical... so it looks like it is abandonned.

I was using another which basically has issues with IOS10.0 and up as well. There does not seem to be many that have actually been updated for some time.

There are some forks that work. I've been using one in my app, I published it in the stores a month ago and so far so good. Look at this issue.
