  • Engage with other community members.
  • Welcome others and are open-minded. Remember that this is a community we

How to use it?

Do you have questions, ideas or ongoing developments on FAIR related aspects, Open Science, training, etc? Would you like to point to specific resources and potential solutions or ideas?

• Use the Q&A to ask a question on a specific topic, for instance (Gitlab or Github? Zenodo or 4TU? How to go about data version control? How can I get a computational environment with certain packages and resources?)
• Use ideas to make proposals, for isntance using jupyter hub for carpentries? Using jupyter books to create educational resources? Running monthly webinars for the community to transfer FAIR practices?
• Use solutions to point people to existing solutions and approaches that can solve their problem. (These solutions might endup in a website to guide our community.)
• Show and tell things you have done that you are proud of. I can be anything from how to train certain topic, to using wikis to support research groups, or using docker to solve a specific problem.

📢 Announce to your community that Discussions is available! Go ahead and send that tweet, post, or link it from the website to drive traffic here.

🔗 If you use issue templates, link any relevant issue templates such as questions and community conversations to Discussions. Declutter your issues by driving community content to where they belong in Discussions. If you need help, here's a link to the documentation.

➡️ You can convert issues to discussions either individually or bulk by labels. Looking at you, issues labeled “question” or “discussion”.

Nice. We should keep a good moderation on the discussions. It will be ideal if the discussions don't keep open longer than needed, but rather we reach conclusions and build upon that.

I fully agree @manuGil, it would be cool if things end up being solutions, FAQs and established practices 😄
