Establish user stories

Think about users and user needs. Write user stories:

• As a… [who is the user?]
• I need/want/expect to… [what does the user want to do?]
• So that… [why does the user want to do this?]

From the perspective of:

• schemes
• MRMs
• NHP team in NHS (national)
• us (different perspectives, e.g. scheme- and national-levels, reflecting on NEE, replacing static report)

Remember that these are prompts to help motivate some thinking about the app design.

Main users

Our main users are MRMs, who will use the app to have discussions with schemes.

As an MRM:

• I want to see a scheme's mitigator selections in the context of other schemes
• So that I can help guide them to (re)assess their selections

As a scheme:

• I want to see my mitigator selections in the context of other schemes
• So that I can consider whether adjustments are necessary

Other users

There are other users of interest

As the NHS team responsible for NHP:

• I want to get a handle on the overall picture of mitigator selection and uncertainty
• So that I can begin to understand the programme's scale of impact

As a conductor of the NEE:

• I want to see how scheme's selections compare to the NEE results
• So that I can retrospectively assess the effectiveness of the exercise

As a developer of this app:

• I want to create a richer, more interactive experience for users (vs the static report)
• So that they can self-serve according to their needs

As a developer of the inputs app:

• I want to see whether there are any unexpected mitigator selections (e.g. point-estimate at 100%)
• So that I can improve the interface of the inputs app
