Cannot download private tumblr #490
Comments
Hello, |
It says "Error 1: could not load file in the library:" So it seems there are 2 problems here at once
Or maybe this is interconnected problem.... |
I have also the same issue with logging in. When trying to log in, the windows opens and I can successfully log in. But when I then check the status in settings - connection it still shows "Logged out". I logged out and then in again but this gives the same issue. For me this causes an issue with a certain blog. The error message on top in blue says: "Error 1: The server returned the wrong type of data. For downloading some blogs (addictedtopinupncorsets) you have to log in (settings dialog) and accept a privacy consent." Note that the privacy consent was not requested by the site as part of the log in process. Update: In case this is relevant, just noticed that the blog type is 'Tumblr hidden'. |
Is a separate error and depends on the message shown when you hoover the error (or look in the log file). Something with the blog index files happened. Did you recently change something in the blog's settings? The other error is about hidden blogs which need authentication to work. |
Where is the log file and what is the name of it? I did not really change anything. It just started to give me weird problems with downloading private tumblrs and to fix that I decided to try your latest version instead. The problem persists so far. |
It really sounds like this is a duplicate problem with #480 . The two issue entries might be better served being collapsed into one. |
So what needs to be done? Step by step if you can please |
So what needs to be done? How can I clean the index files and solce authentication problems? |
"You can find the log file here (%LOCALAPPDATA%\TumblThree\TumblThree.log), you can copy & paste it in windows file explorer." |
I found the log file. But I am not sure what I am looking at. Bottom line the last version of TumblThree is downloading all the blogs except the private ones. I am not sure if this is an authentication issue or it is something that changed with private blogs that does not allow them to be downloaded. Authentication does not hold no matter how many times you do it. If there is any solution to these multiple issues - please let me know. Thank you in advance. |
So, I've deleted the old log files and started fresh, Loading new names and downloading them with the previous version of the TumbleThree. SVC files are still a problem to download. Programm does not see all of them and download only a fraction of the total number, even if you do this more than once. Authentication fails after certain amount of time and you have to log out at the tumblr insert that opens up and then start the process of logging in again from the scratch. Thus something weird going on with both authentication and SVC downloads |
I have been having similar issues. No errors in the app itself for me, TumblThree will just scan the blog and find nothing. |
Hello.
I was using older version of TumblThree and all of a suddent private tumblr blogs that were perfectly downloadable are no longer work with either ASPI or SVC settings. I tried both to be sure. I decided to try the newest version of TumblThree. And over here everytime I start the programm it kicks off all the private blogs, giving me a message in blue on the top of the page that something is wrong with these blogs. I opened every single one of them and they work fine. I have no idea what is the issue here? I am just a user not a developer so I don know too much about all kinks, but still.
Please help.
