Any plan to support some afterheater settings?

Hi @RaunoVV
If you're open to doing the testing during the process, I'd like to add the functionality. Unfortunately, I don't have the required hardware to test it myself.

I'll begin by adding some logging to detect the hardware, and once that's ready, I'll ask you to install a pre-release version. You can then generate the log files and send them to me.

Hi, yes for sure i can do the testing. Atleast my maintenance technician told me that i have both pre- and after- heater installed (nordic stuff 🙂). So there should be some readings/settings available. Let me know.

Hi @RaunoVV,

I've added a pre-release that includes some debugging information. To get started, you'll need to enable pre-releases for the Dantherm integration:

  1. Go to Devices & Services.
  2. Locate the HACS integration and click on the “# services”.
  3. Find the Dantherm integration in the list, click on it, and enable pre-releases.

Next, install the 0.5.0-1 pre-release and restart Home Assistant.

After that, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Devices & Services and find the Dantherm integration.
  2. Click on Enable debug logging.
  3. Press the three-dot menu and select Reload.
  4. Wait 30 seconds, then disable debug logging.

A log file should now be available in your browser’s download folder.

Hum, seems like it didnt find any HAC controller. I found this https://anesthesie.aclicteur.be/Dantherm_UVC_Controller_-_Modbus_TCP_IP.pdf manual on the internet but not sure if this is general and applies to hcv500 also. I dont have co2 or those sensors. Maybe the afterheater is not enabled from the commissioner setup or maybe the maintenance technician was wrong then..

Hi @RaunoVV
The bit indicating the HAC controller is not pressent.
I guess you should have a control box like this somewhere and one or two heater units in your piping.

I'm not sure if this box is only for water pre-/after-heaters or also the electric heaters. I will read some more tomorrow.

Hi @RaunoVV
Based on my reading, it seems that the HAC control box is responsible for managing both water and electric preheaters and after-heaters, except for an internal electric pre-heater, provided that the ventilation unit is in control of the process. However, your heating system might not be directly controlled by the unit itself.

Feel free to reach out if you make any further progress in the matter.

I'll keep the issue open for now in case someone else encounters it, and HAC support can pick it up from there.

Thanks for quick acting. Probbaly there has been indeed some misunderstanding by me/maintenance guy and the installer. If i get any further knowledge then ill reach out again. At least can you the debug logging to check it onwards.

Can i stay on the pre-release for now?

I recommend that you disable pre-releases again, as I rely on them for my testing. I'm not sure if you'll still receive prompts to install additional pre-releases while you're already on one.
