Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In Settings>Conventions, even if the space character is present in "Repeatable characters" (e.g. between two of the existing characters), that has no effect on "Remove repeated characters" in Tools>FixSubtitles. Hence two successive spaces get turned into one space.

Describe the solution you'd like
Make "Remove repeated characters" (in Tools>FixSubtitles) respect the space character when it is included in the "Repeatable characters" section of the Settings>Conventions dialog window. Likewise anywhere else that this broad issue is relevant.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Workaround: Disable "Remove repeated characters" (in Tools>FixSubtitles)

Additional context
My stylistic preference, following a period-character, is to append two spaces prior to non-space text.
